OSHKOSH − Trinity Horstman was crowned Miss Wisconsin’s Teen 2023 during Friday night’s competition at Oshkosh West High School's Alberta Kimball Civic Auditorium.

Horstman, 17, from Onalaska, now advances to Miss America’s Teen competition in December or January.

The teen competition is for contestants between 13 and 18 years old to earn scholarships and professional development within the Miss America Organization.

Horstman, competing as Miss Crossing Rivers’ Teen, competed in a field of 19 contestants representing their communities across the state, according to a news release from the Miss Wisconsin Organization. She earned $2,600 in scholarships along with other gifts and awards.

For the talent portion of the contest, Horstman, who has been a tap dancer for 12 years, danced to “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.”

As Miss Wisconsin’s Teen, Horstman will dedicate her year to promoting her community service initiative − “Making Miracles Happen: Supporting Children’s Miracle Network.” She aims to raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network to support families like her own, the organization said.

Horstman follows in her sister’s footsteps as Savannah Horstman served as Miss Wisconsin’s Teen in 2019 and 2020, according to the Miss Wisconsin Organization.
