Miss USA Noelia Voigt Embraces Trendy Red Hue at Miss Universe 2023 Preliminary Competition
Noelia Voigt made her debut at the Miss Universe 2023 competition in San Salvador on Wednesday, wearing a red dress by Venezuelan designer Dhey Galaviz. The current Miss USA joined 85 contestants from around the globe at the preliminary phase of the pageant.
Voigt’s dress, which was covered in crystals and featured cutouts, sheer paneling and a flowy cape, embraces the red trend that is taking over fashion this year. David Koma, Courrèges, Bottega Veneta, Ferragamo and Fendi are some of the brands that bet on red in their fall 2023 collections.

Voigt, who was born to an American Venezuelan couple, has worked with Galaviz on different occasions. The designer created the yellow gown she wore during the final Miss USA 2023 competition in September.
Besides the evening gown round, the preliminary phase of the Miss Universe 2023 also featured a swimsuit competition. Voigt wore a shiny purple one-piece swimsuit, which is part of the first collaborative merchandise line released by the Miss Universe Organization. The collection, produced under the name Miss Universe by Rubin Singer, is now available for preorder on missuniverse.com.
“How is it even possible that I just competed at @missuniverse. What an incredible feeling it was to yell my country name and proudly wear it across my chest. Soaking in all of these moments, wishing they could last forever. An infinite amount of thank yous to everyone who has sent me messages of encouragement and support before, during and after [preliminaries]! I love you all. I am honored to represent the USA, the melting pot of the world, and be a representative of all people, all backgrounds, and all cultures,” Voigt wrote on Instagram after her debut at the competition.
Since winning the Miss USA, Voigt has been traveling through the U.S. to promote the anti-bullying cause and her children’s book, “Maddie the Brave,” which was released in 2020.
The 72nd annual Miss Universe competition will take place on Saturday in El Salvador and will feature a performance by John Legend. The event culminates with R’Bonney Gabriel crowning the 2023 Miss Universe. The show will be broadcast on Telemundo and available to stream on Roku.
