Misha Nonoo Says Meghan Markle Is "So Conscious" About Her Fashion Choices

Fashion designer Misha Nonoo has been friends with Meghan Markle for some time—even before she became a royal. And in a new series of interviews, timed to promote her new maternity collaboration with Hatch (another Meghan-approved label), Nonoo opened up about her respect for the Duchess.

Speaking to the Telegraph, Nonoo had nothing but good things to say about working with Meghan on her recent capsule collection. (Nonoo designed a shirt for the line, which benefited Meghan's patronage Smart Works.) "We were so honored to work with the Duchess, she’s so extraordinarily thoughtful," Nonoo said. "I’m honored when we see her wear something. The Smart Set collection was a great example of her thinking about others."

Nonoo added that Meghan also gives plenty of thought to her own clothing. "She’s so conscious when she’s putting her wardrobe together." Several pieces in that wardrobe have been identified as Nonoo designs—including the striped shirt Meghan wore for her recent private visit to Mayhew, later shared on Instagram.

Speaking to People, Nonoo also just admitted that she occasionally helps the Duchess out, in style and in life. "As with all friendships, you share lots of tips and everything," she said. And now that Nonoo is expecting her first child with her husband, Michael Hess, she'll soon be able to swap parenting stories with Meghan.

So, given their close friendship, will we see the Nonoo team up with the Duchess again in a professional capacity? "We shall see what happens in the future," Nonoo told the Telegraph. "I’d be honored to work on anything with her. She’s so passionate about the work she does."
