Parade and PBS' Roadfood: Discovering America One Dish at a Time is up for a Daytime Emmy award!

The culinary series was announced as a nominee earlier on April 26, which prompted a celebratory response from the host, Misha Collins.

The Supernatural alum, 48, took to his Instagram to announce the news where he shared an image of the official nomination, writing, "Looks like @roadfood is nominated for another award. (Maybe we should do a season 2…)."

And we, along with fans, couldn't agree more!

It didn't take long for Collins' followers to express their excitement in the comments section. For instance, one fan wrote, "👏👏👏👏👏👏 Definitely another season!" "YESSSSS please!!" another fan exclaimed, while a third wrote, "Congratulations Misha! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 and yes you should! ❤️❤️❤️."

"I’m honored by Roadfood’s Emmy nomination and so proud of our entire team that made it happen," Collins shared in a statement. "Our crew went above and beyond to make a show that explores the diverse tapestry of American culture through the lens of food; it opened my eyes to so many ways of life and it’s humbling to see that other people found value in it, too. (It also gave me the opportunity to eat a cow eyeball, which is something I will never, ever forget)."

He concluded, "I’m looking forward to hitting the road for season 2 in the fall and can’t wait to see where Roadfood takes us next!"

The show is up for the Outstanding Culinary Series award at the 2023 Daytime Emmys—which will take place on June 16. Roadfood found itself in a particularly stacked category, however, as fellow nominees include Family Dinner, Selena + Chef, José Andrés and Family in Spain, and Martha Cooks.

The 13-episode series follows Collins as he hits the highways to explore the unique cuisine of the United States. Each episode captures the host meeting with local cooks, pit masters, bakers, and proprietors of local eating establishments throughout the U.S. as he explores the root of each dish he has the opportunity to try.

Fans can stream episodes of Roadfood when they subscribe to PBS Passport.
