Miranda Lambert and husband Brendan McLoughlin are celebrating a milestone in their relationship: their one-year wedding anniversary! The country star secretly tied the knot with McLoughlin on January 26, 2019, and they have been wildly in love ever since.

To show how much her man means to her, Lambert shared the cutest tribute to McLoughlin on Instagram. Lambert posted a throwback photo from their wedding day, holding hands and walking around Nashville. They are absolutely beaming!

"1 year ❤️. I’m so happy to walk through this life with you. Thank you Brendan for making me the proudest wife and stepmom. You are the reason for all my new smile lines. I love you. #MrsMcLoughlin" she wrote in the caption.

Fans flooded the post with congratulatory comments, with many wondering how the past year flew by so extremely fast. "You deserve happiness! Keep smiling and enjoy your anniversary!" one of Lambert's fans commented to her post, while another wrote, "Happy anniversary! Ya'll look so happy and cute together! I wish ya'll the best future together!"

You can just tell from the smiles on the McLoughlin's faces that they are incredibly happy. Lambert also shared a photo of a beautiful bouquet of flowers from her hubby to her Instagram Story. "Thanks babe! 1 year!" she wrote.

Although Lambert and McLoughlin's jobs couldn't be more different, the two actually met while they were both working.

McLoughlin is a New York police officer from Staten Island. In November 2018, Lambert and her band The Pistol Annies headed to Times Square for an appearance on Good Morning America. McLoughlin happened to be assigned to the South Midtown Precinct that day, which includes Times Square. Fate? I think so.

During the appearance, McLoughlin was working security and caught Lambert's attention. Her bandmates secretly invited him to one of their upcoming shows. "My girlfriends, the Annies, saw him and knew I might be ready to hang out with someone," she told the New York Times. "They invited him to our show behind my back."

But she wasn't mad about it! "I don't really have game so I was really nervous. It worked out," she told ABC. "He's beautiful. He's a cutie."

The lovebirds continued to grow their relationship, vacationing and attending events together. Fast forward to February 2019, and Lambert announced to Instagram that the two secretly got married.

She shared a collection of adorable photos from their wedding day on January 26, 2019. “I met the love of my life. And we got hitched!” she wrote in a post from February 16. “My heart is full. Thank you Brendan McLoughlin for loving me for…. Me. #theone.”

Before she met Loughlin, the country star had a rough couple of years leading up to that 2018 performance in Times Square. Lambert had separated from The Voice coach Blake Shelton in 2015, which was a difficult experience for her.

The "It All Comes Out in the Wash" singer recently opened up about her publicized divorce while performing in Nashville.

"I spent a lot of time in this town," she told the crowd between two song, Today reported. "It's my second hometown, basically, at this point. I feel like Nashville is somewhere where you can go if you need to be a dreamer and not be judged about it. I spent a lot of time here on highs and lows."

“I went through a really hard time in my life,” she continued. “I moved here in 2015 in the middle of a sh-t-show, but I was lifted up by people who were like, ‘We got you, girl.’ My friends and my songwriters and my fans and everybody here."

Lambert went on to describe how country music helped her recover. "I realized at that point somehow sitting there crying in my beer like we do when we sing country music, it healed me all the way. Like deep down, it healed me to the bone," she said. "So I wrote a song about it because you don't have to be in pain or hurting all the time if you just want to go sit somewhere in a dark corner and be by yourself with everybody."

At 36, Lambert couldn't be happier with her life with McLoughlin. Today, the two split their time between New York City and Nashville and have a beautifully blended family.

“We have the best of both worlds,” Lambert told ExtraTV. “We spend time in New York, we get to see our adorable nugget, then we get to come back to the farm and have the quiet life. I’m enjoying the balance.” How sweet!
