We'd say 'yee-haw' to a Miranda Lambert cameo on 'Yellowstone.'

Is Miranda Lambert about to rope up a role on Yellowstone?

It wouldn't be surprising after eagle-eyed fans spotted an old school poster of the "If I Was a Cowboy" singer in an episode of Yellowstone. However, Lambert, who is a self-admitted fan of the Paramount Network show, recently revealed to Entertainment Tonight the contingency that would be needed for her to act for creator Taylor Sheridan.

According to Lambert, acting is "not my favorite thing," adding, "I've never been an actress."

"I've done one thing and it was probably the one," she said, referencing her guest spot on a 2012 episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

"I'm not saying I won't ever do it again," she continued. "But if I can play myself... that's a little bit easier on me."

We're hoping that Sheridan is listening, because we'd love to see Lambert in the bunkhouse IRL. In fact, after witnessing Lambert's picturesque Western vacation in February, we have a feeling she'd be right at home on the Dutton ranch.

Still, while Lambert isn't racing to be onscreen, she is eager to collaborate with the TV producer. "I actually was at a thing in Texas, Taylor Sheridan got a Texas Medal of Arts and I did as well," she said of a recent conversation with the showrunner. "So we got to talk about, you know, this lifestyle... I was pushing my songs for the show. I was like, 'I have some tunes, man, here they are!'"

Yellowstone is set to return with new season five episodes this summer. You can catch up on the popular drama on Peacock.
