Since Brendan McLoughlin married Lambert in 2019, the retired police officer has clearly developed a fanbase of his own—or his abs have, at least. Thankfully, the country star doesn’t envy easily.

She actually finds fans’ adoration of her man a form of flattery. Why keep his bronzed beauty to herself? (Only when it comes to photos and the occasional music video, that is). “I tell him, ‘If you got blessed with all of that, then don’t rob the world. I’m a songwriter, so I put out music. You look like that, so you should have your photo taken!’” she recently told People.

That’s why she included him—shirtless, of course—in her pool party-themed music video for “Tequila Does,” which fans totally gushed over. The pair recently celebrated three years of marriage, and have been solely focused on having fun the entire time.

“I take myself way too seriously, and I think I’ve really calmed down, getting out of my head and stuff, because he’s so full of joy,” she told People. “His smile. It’s one of those contagious ones.” (Her fans aren’t shy about pointing that out, either.) The pair are currently on an extended vacation as Lambert takes time off during the summer for the first time.

“It’s really about balance of life and work for me right now,” the “Bluebird” singer said. “I’ve been touring for 20 years, and I’ve been everywhere and seen nothing—just a lot of parking lots. I’m trying to use my downtime to really experience life. I always get the boring months off, and I’m like, ‘Can I just have a sunshiny month off?’ So the first of July, I’m out of here, and I’m taking my Airstream.”

Most recently, they visited Colorado and Utah, and even in posting candid vacation pics, McLoughlin can’t get away from the thirsty comments. On July 4, he shared photos of him biking through the Colorado mountains—and he was even wearing a shirt.

“And here I was hoping you were BBQ-ing shirtless!! 😂” one person commented. “Wow what a stud 😍,” another added. “So cute!” someone else wrote.
