Miranda Lambert's husband has been spotted at a lot of her concerts recently—and it turns out that he was there as more than just a fan.

Brendan McLoughlin took an extended leave of absence from his job at the New York Police Department soon after marrying the country superstar last year. Now, the 28-year-old has officially retired from the force to pursue a different opportunity: Working for Miranda.

According to Fox News, Brendan left the NYPD to join his wife's security team. Fans have reportedly seen him at Miranda's shows wearing an earpiece, checking bags, and assisting the rest of her crew.

"Brendan was the security guard right before you go in to meet Miranda for her meet and greet," one witness said. "Other members of the security team told fans, 'No photos with Brendan.'"

Another source shared a similar story from her concert in Dallas, Texas in early February.

"Brendan was one of the security guys checking fans and when it was your turn it was actually Brendan asking if fans had anything they wanted Miranda to sign," they explained. "Brendan was overheard telling one fan, 'Have her sign your boot!'"

It sounds like Miranda and her husband will be spending a lot more time together—which means we can look forward to even more adorable PDA moments!
