Miranda Lambert Fans Have Not Recovered from Her Jaw-Dropping Halloween Costume

Miranda Lambert and her husband Brendan McLoughlin clearly have not lost that lovin' feeling! The couple won Halloween with their steamy costume inspired by Kelly McGillis and Tom Cruise's characters Charlie and Maverick from the 1986 hit movie Top Gun. The couple looked incredible in a full flight suit for Brendan and a Top Gun jacket, jeans, and animal-print sneakers for Miranda.
Both donned picture-perfect aviators. Miranda posted movie stills of Cruise and McGillis that had fans doing a serious double-take. It's been more than 35 years since the movie premiered, but the characters are still instantly recognizable, especially with this spot-on recreation.
Miranda captioned the photos, "Happy Halloween from Charlie and Maverick. #topgun"
Fans were seriously impressed by the couple's dramatic transformation. One wrote, "Hands down the best costume I’ve seen this year 🔥," and another said, "Dannngggg this is dead on. 🔥🔥💯💯 #gorgeous." Several commenters pointed out how much Brendan resembles a young Tom Cruise. One wrote, "Damn he really looks like him!" and Miranda responded, "Twins!"
Celebrities chimed in with their comments too. Singer/songwriter Gwen Sebastian put it best with a quote from the movie's famous soundtrack: "Take my breath awaaaaay ❤️❤️." Kimberly Schlapman of Little Big Town said, "PERFECTION!!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻," and her bandmate Karen Fairchild contributed a series of fire emojis.
Brendan posted photos on his Instagram feed too and included a photo of Miranda's complete look. His romantic caption got all the heart-eye emojis: "The Charlie to my Maverick. Love this one ❤️❤️."
