When the Pistol Annies singer arrived at the 2019 ACM Honors the other day, she looked stunning in a black dress with a deep V neckline. But we caught her pulling a very clever wardrobe trick, and we have to warn you that this will only make you love her more.
You’ll notice in this first photo that Miranda is sporting some seriously comfortable sneakers.
But when she steps out on the red carpet, a pair of hot pink heels have appeared on her feet instead.
Yes, that means Miranda is just like the rest of us and wears her cozy footwear for as long as humanly possible before having to switch to something “classier.” We fully support this move, because who among us hasn’t snuck our work shoes in our purses and changed only when necessary? We get it, Miranda!
After her smart swap, Miranda stopped for photos with her husband Brendan McLoughlin. Brendan opted for a checkered blazer and jeans. (He got to wear tennis shoes the whole time, we’re just saying.) The two looked totally in love, only further dispelling any rumors about their split.
Miranda, who’s the recipient of the most ACM awards in history, had a pretty great night at the ceremony, as well. She took home the Gene Weed Milestone Award, making it her 33rd accolade she’s received from the Academy of Country Music.
