What do you get when you mix a potent vitamin C serum with a skin-coddling eye cream? Just ask Miranda Kerr. Her brand Kora Organics just dropped the Berry Bright Vitamin C Eye Cream, which features a brightening 5.5 percent blend of stabilized vitamin C in addition to nutrient-rich plants like cloudberry and Australian Kakadu plum.

“Our eye cream helps with specific concerns like dull, dry skin and wrinkles,” Kerr explains. “It features different ingredients that work together really well, like red ginseng and kangaroo core flower to help strengthen the eye area. Plus, Kakadu plum from Australia contains one of the highest naturally occurring sources of vitamin C. My mom’s been drinking Kakadu plum for a very long time as her main source, since it helps improve skin’s radiance.”

The new Berry Bright Eye Cream—in addition to every Kora Organics product—is formulated using exclusively certified organic ingredients, as they’re known to contain up to 60 percent more antioxidants than those grown without certification, according to a study by Cambridge University. “I think there’s a misconception about organic not being powerful,” she says. “One of my key missions with Kora Organics products is to transform people’s skin in a healthy way, while using the highest-performing ingredients possible. To me, certified organic ingredients are even more powerful than clean beauty, which is why I wanted to incorporate them into the brand. I didn’t just want to use ingredients that are healthy for you, but also to feature high-performing ingredients that actually give your skin the results it needs.”

From ingredient sourcing to packaging, each step in the creation of Kora Organics products is approved by the COSMOS-standard, an internationally recognized cosmetic certification for natural and organic cosmetics. “I think it takes a lot of education to understand this process—I’m glad that people are realizing that your skin is your largest organ, and what you put on your skin soaks in,” Kerr says. “And if you can get the results you need from products that are healthy for you and nutrient dense, then it’s really a no-brainer.”

While the brand already has an eye product, Noni Radiant Eye Oil, the Berry Bright Eye Cream is the company’s first official foray into the cream category that tends to the delicate area. “Our oils are what we’re really known for, which is why we decided to launch with an eye oil before an eye cream,” she says. “I love the fact that both of our eye products can work synergistically, but also have different benefits. The Noni Eye Oil is super nourishing and contains ingredients like cacay oil (a natural form of retinol), to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, plus coffee seed oil that helps reduce puffiness. I like to apply the eye oil first to get the benefits of its soothing rose quartz roller ball, and then follow up with the cream.”

Unlike the Noni Radiant Eye Oil, the new eye cream is refillable (making it the second product from the brand with this option) and contains a removable interior pod housed in a glass jar with a dazzling pink lid that isn’t just for show. Crystals—rose quartz, in particular—have played a significant role in Kerr’s life and well-being, starting at an early age. “I didn’t really know the meaning of crystals when I was younger, and it wasn’t until I was a teenager on a holiday—I think it was in Byron Bay—I found this little crystal store. It had all the meanings of the different crystals and how they can help balance certain aspects of a person’s life and nurture energies,” the supermodel explains. “I personally was very drawn to rose quartz (which is known as the stone of unconditional love), and I’ve carried one with me pretty much ever since. From day one with Kora, I worked with our chemists to create an infusion process across all our skincare formulas, in which we filter our products through rose quartz crystal. During the compounding process, our formulas are energized through it. My intention is that if we infuse the vibration of love into all the ingredients, then you will feel the same loving energy when using our brand.”

Kora Organics has partnered with the organization Climate Neutral to help offset their carbon footprint and emissions each year. Additionally, for all new Kora Organics products launching through 2021 and beyond, the company is dedicated to using recyclable or biodegradable materials in all its primary and secondary packaging to help minimize its impact on the environment. Kerr’s hope is that even if customers decide not to repurchase the Berry Bright Eye Cream, they can still continue to use its jar for smaller objects, like rings or bobby pins. “It’s a big commitment,” she says of the earth-friendly company initiative, “but it’s something we really think is important. I believe if everyone does their part it can make a big difference.”

Kerr’s supermodel glow comes from within—but can also be credited to her suite of products. “Our Noni Glow Sleeping Mask is incredible—I put it on at night, and when I wake up in the morning, my skin is bouncy and fresh—and it doesn’t rub off on your pillow!” she explains. “I also love dry brushing my entire body in the morning and using my Rose Quartz Heart Facial Gua Sha (which I keep in the fridge) to apply my face cream and oil. I also keep our new Minty Mineral Hydration Mist in the fridge as well, which is super refreshing and energizing. Plus, our Turmeric BHA Brightening Treatment Mask is the most invigorating thing to use in the shower in the morning.”

Aside from skincare products, the supermodel also enjoys taking a cold shower in the morning, and consistently incorporates the Wim Hof Method into her daily routine. “He’s all about taking cold showers and breathing to really oxygenate your body and get the blood flowing—it’s very beneficial,” she adds.
