Miranda Kerr Shares How Her Zodiac Sign Affects Her Skin-Care Routine

Miranda Kerr steps up to a podium as an impressively starry crowd of Angelenos (Sofia Richie and Stella Maxwell in Matrix-like black dusters to my left, Olivia Munn in a bohemian, off-the-shoulder dress to my right) wait breathlessly. Make no mistake — we're not here to talk about fashion. We're here to talk about skin care, and who better to speak on the topic than Kerr, whose cherubic face has not changed since 1997?

Kerr does not disappoint. She tells us, in her disarming Australian lilt, that she, much like us, is busy. Much like us, her sleep schedule is a nightmare (she has three children, two under two). Refreshingly, she doesn't suggest that just one product will counteract all that busyness, sleeplessness, and a punishing travel schedule. In fact, she reveals that she uses a veritable army of Kora Organics products to stay young: the Cream Cleanser followed by the Calming Lavender Mist followed by the Noni Night AHA Resurfacing Serum followed by the Radiant Eye Oil and Noni Glow Face Oil followed by the Noni Sleeping Mask.

But until today a crucial step in that routine, the Noni Night AHA Resurfacing Serum , was not available to the general public. The certified organic serum, with its mega-dose of brightening vitamin C (thanks to caviar lime extract), protective antioxidants (that's tonka bean bio-ferment), and exfoliating alpha-hydroxy acids and beta hydroxy-acids (from lemon peel ferment and willow bark extract, respectively), took almost two years to formulate. It had to remain stable without cheap preservatives and pass muster in all 35 countries where the brand is sold (Canada calls for slightly lower levels of acids than other countries).

Kerr tells me they did extensive consumer studies to verify that the Noni Night AHA Resurfacing Serum reduces the appearance of fine lines, reduces unwanted splotches and spots, and helps minimize the appearance of pores. But she really doesn't have to tell me this. Up close, during our one-on-one interview, her epidermis appears to be beaming with nary a dead skin cell, bursting with collagen, and, unlike many of her peers, not frozen in place.

I pump her for every bit of beauty information I can get. Her skin is just. So. Good. She tells me she picks up Epsom salts, magnesium salts, and baking soda for her baths, swipes Dior Glow 001 onto her lips, and uses the Kora Organics Sleeping Mask to spot treat dry patches of skin on her knees, elbows, and feet. And then — the real reason for her agelessness emerges.

"I'm an Aries. The ram. I do my routine religiously. Morning, night, it doesn't matter. I'm going to do it even if I have a baby hanging off my breast. I'll still be putting on my cream," Kerr says.

Our interview time is up. She instructs me to put on the new Noni Night AHA Resurfacing Serum every evening for two weeks and to DM her with the results. I nearly forget to pack it for a 36-hour trip to visit my newborn niece, and with all the excitement over the baby I nearly forget to apply it. But then I remember.

And two mornings later, my skin already looks a little brighter. Partially because this serum is the real deal and partially because I applied it — even with a baby cradled in my arms.
