Minnesota Ski Resort To Host Spring Skiing Session With Leftover Snow

Wild Mountain, Minnesota, just announced that "Leftovers Spring Jam is back, baybee!"

The ski area will be constructing a "small and sporty" terrain park from the remaining snow on Main Stage for skiers who aren't quite ready to give winter up just yet. See below.

The event is happening this Saturday, May 18th, from 11am - 3pm. The park will boast 6 to 8 features. It is hike-only, with no rope tow provided by the resort.

For services, officials at Wild Mountain wrote that there will be no food or beverages, lessons, or rentals offered. Bathrooms are available "in the bathroom." It sounds like the focus is on the show from the athletes in the jam, and not the amenities, this time around.

But that won't stop spring skiers from having a great time navigating the many rails the ski area is setting up. Photographer Stephan Jende was on-scene to capture the Leftovers action last year.

Tickets are $15 and all guests are required to have a ticket. Season passes are not valid. Skiers and riders can reserve online and pickup at the ticket desk. There are just 225 tickets available.

The weather is forecast to be 79 degrees. Officials at the resort advise everyone to bring water and sunscreen, and someone in the comments wrote that they got sunburned last year.
