The latest bodywear collection from Alexander Wang is for holiday and features cold-weather intimates, including thermal underwear and rib-knit layers, extending the Bodywear range into lounge and casual pieces and seasonal carryover styles in holiday-specific colors.

Since the fashion industry’s rebound following the global COVID-19 lockdown, Wang has worked on evolving his business after facing sexual assault allegations in 2021. He’s since apologized publicly.

Since then, Wang has pivoted his focus to China, and in 2022, he sold minority stakes to two Chinese investors, fashion conglomerate Youngor Group and venture capital firm Challenjers Capital. China is now the brand’s biggest market with 25 stores in the region, representing more than half of the brand’s global retail network.

In September, Wang debuted his first retrospective in China, “Edge: Exploring the worlds of Alexander Wang,” at the plaza of Beijing’s luxury shopping complex Taikoo Li Sanlitun. The exhibition ran from Sept. 27 to Oct. 25. presented a selection of key archival and current pieces, curated by Wang himself.

In February, Wang made his return to the New York Fashion Week circuit with a runway show titled “Cupid’s Door.” The collection was unveiled in several acts: fall, a bit of “see now buy now” spring, pre-fall and a menswear relaunch.

The new bodywear collection launches on Nov. 29 in-store and online at alexanderwang.com.
