Every Mom Can Relate to This Twitter Exchange Between Mindy Kaling and Chelsea Peretti

Sure, Oscar nominations are pretty cool, but you know what's cooler? The first time your newborn sleeps through the night without waking up or needing to be fed—as new moms Mindy Kaling and Chelsea Peretti know all too well.

On Tuesday, shortly after Peretti's husband Jordan Peele's first film Get Out was nominated for four Academy Awards, the Brooklyn Nine-Nine star revealed that, on top of that huge achievement, their 6-month-old son had slept through the night for the first time the night before. "AND OUR BABY SLEPT THRU THE NITE W NO MILK‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️😩💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖" Peretti tweeted after celebrating Peele's success in an equally emoji-filled tweet.

Kaling, who just gave birth to daughter Katherine in mid-December and probably still has a few months to go until she gets a full night's sleep, took a break from tweeting excitedly about the Oscar nominations (including Get Out's) to share her enthusiasm for Beaumont's big night. "This may be the most exciting relatable news I've heard all morning," she wrote in reply to Peretti's tweet. Peretti, understandably unable to contain herself, replied, "IT TRULY PUT ME OVER THE TOP."

Although newborns may sleep around 16 hours per day in total, they may only go an hour or two without waking up, according to the Johns Hopkins Medical Library. It's only around month two or three that babies start to sleep through the night. According to research published recently in Pediatrics, more than half of infants are sleeping through the night at 5 months. And by 6 months, about two-thirds of babies are able to snooze the whole night.

Peretti has also turned to social media to share her experiences with pregnancy and motherhood. Most recently, while attending the Golden Globe and SAG Awards, Peretti revealed that she had to take breaks from the glitzy ceremonies to pump her breastmilk. "Pumping at sag awards! forgot part of the pump and had to uber it from home. doing great at being a woman! sexy, maternal, excited and free. reflecting with each mechanical whir," she captioned a selfie on Instagram last weekend. A mom's gotta do what a mom's gotta do.
