Mina Starsiak's Brother Got So Emotional After Finding Out His Sister Was Pregnant on "Good Bones"
In March, Good Bones star Mina Starsiak took to Instagram to reveal she was pregnant with her second child. However, prior to her public announcement, the home reno expert got to share the exciting news with her friends and family. On the latest episode of Good Bones, we get to watch the exact moment Starsiak told her brother Tad about the pregnancy. The heartwarming exchange between brother and sister was filled with both humor and tears!
The siblings were on site as Tad offered his sister some suggestions on how they could raise the property's value. Starsiak accepted his feedback and then joked "I'm just too tired to care," to which he replied "It's better when she's tired." Then Starsiak decided to share the good news in the most low-key, but also hilarious way: "I'm knocked up so I'm going to be tired for a long time."
Tad immediately embraced his sister and started to tear up. "I didn't know that could happen," he said, referring to her miracle pregnancy. "Me either," she said. "We have miracle #2 under our belt right now," she exclaimed.
While it's not rare that a brother would get emotional after finding out his sister is pregnant, Starsiak's pregnancy came as an exceptionally wonderful surprise after a grueling battle with infertility and extremely limited options. She had previously told People that a doctor had told her she had less than a one percent chance of conceiving, making a second child seem next to impossible. This news was heartbreaking for Starsiak as she had always planned her whole life with two kids in mind. Fortunately, she was able to beat the odds. Baby number two is set to arrive this month.
Starsiak and husband Steve Hawk are already parents to two-year-old son Jack. They announced their upcoming addition with an adorable Toy Story-themed Instagram in March.
It was a long road to get here. Jack is going to be a big brother in September.
