Mina Starsiak Hawk Shares Adorable Photo of Son Jack Amid Pregnancy Struggle

After detailing her struggles to become pregnant for a second time, HGTV star Mina Starsiak Hawk paused for a moment on Sunday to express her profound love for her only son.

"This boy," Mina captioned a photo of herself embracing and kissing a smiling Jack Richard Hawk on Instagram.

Mina was recently told that the only way for her to carry another child is with a donor egg. She opened up about her difficult IVF journey in a deeply personal Instagram post over the holidays.

"No clue what our little family's future holds, but we have all we could ever need," Mina said, adding a blue heart emoji. "Anything more is just icing on the cake."

Mina, who renovates and flips houses with her mom Karen E. Laine on Good Bones, first revealed her fertility difficulties in July, when she shared that she was wearing an Ava Women bracelet that "measures signals in your body to pinpoint your fertile days." Fans have continued to express gratitude for her decision to speak out about an often taboo topic.

"We’re doing the reasonable thing and getting a second opinion, although I don’t have high hopes it will result in anything different," Mina said over the holidays. "So that’s where we are."

As she faces these difficulties, Mina appears to be embracing her beloved family more than ever. The HGTV star recently had son Jack's name tattooed to her side. She also enjoyed a romantic date night with her husband over the weekend, in which the two participated in a post-holiday "taco off."

"So you know how some people have like an extra stomach for dessert?" Mina asked on her Instagram Story. "I have an extra stomach for burritos and tacos."
