Mina Starsiak Hawk Mourns the Loss of Her Dog Sophie, Confident That "Tomorrow Will Be Better"
Earlier in the week, HGTV star Mina Starsiak Hawk had a very vulnerable moment on Instagram, following news that her dog Sophie might not make it through the day. Starsiak uploaded a handful of videos to the social media platform, informing her followers that she had taken Sophia to the vet for the fourth time this week.
The Good Bones host also shared that work has been stressful, and despite what her life might appear like on television and on social media, "there's a lot of not pretty stuff."
"My business is very stressful right now," Mina Starsiak divulged. "And I just feel like it's fair to share that with you guys cause I share all the other stuff. And I've always been super clear about I never want you guys to think because I had a tummy tuck or because I have a TV show that everything's magically fixed and I have a magical life.
"So, there's a lot of not pretty stuff," she continued. "So, don't feel like you're doing something wrong. I'm sure everything you're doing is exactly right for you."
Unfortunately, Starsiak revealed in the caption to her Instagram post that Sophie did not make it.
"Nowhere in my brain would today end without Sophie, but it has," she wrote. "Much like B, she’s saved me far many more times than I saved her. She’s with her sister and with Stefie gone one year, she’s with her. They’re taking care of each other now bc they both knew we’d all be ok here. And we will. Just not today. Tomorrow will be better."
