Mina Starsiak Hawk, Alison Victoria, Ty Pennington, and More to Star in New HGTV Competition Series

If you loved watching your favorite HGTV stars battle it out through design on Rock the Block, you're going to love this new series. This week, the network announced Battle on the Beach, a new six-episode competition series coming this summer.

In Battle on the Beach, rookie flippers must renovate identical beachfront properties. Mentoring them through this unfamiliar process will be Windy City Rehab star Alison Victoria, Ty Breaker star Ty Pennington, and Restaurant Impossible star Taniya Nayak. Like all HGTV showdowns, the team that adds the most value to their property will take home the gold — which in this case is $50,000 to use towards their next flip. Meanwhile, the winning mentor will receive the ultimate bragging rights.

Holmes and Holmes star Mike Holmes and Good Bones star Mina Starsiak Hawk will judge the competition. Not only will teams have to worry about impressing the pair during the final reveal, but there will also be weekly challenges that they'll be graded on along the way.

"The stakes are sky high with a beachfront renovation, and this competition will push some of HGTV’s most seasoned experts to the limit," said Jane Latman, president of HGTV, in a press release. "The competitors will get the unique opportunity to have our star mentors guide them through the challenges of a large-scale renovation while they fight to win some big cash," she continued.
