Milwaukee Day is Sunday! Here are more than 15 ways to celebrate it this year.

Some things are just easy to celebrate. And, Milwaukee is one of 'em.

Since 2010, "Milwaukee Day" has been celebrated on April 14 (4/14) since it has the same digits as the city's area code, 414. There'll be the annual 414 Flag drop, parties, markets, discounted tickets and tours, and more.

Here's a guide to what's going on Sunday for the holiday:

414 Milwaukee flag drop and freebies by City Hall

This 414 Day tradition is celebrating its fifth year.

414 Milwaukee — which sells 414 apparel, hats and products — will again be unfurling a giant 414 flag in front of City Hall, 200 E. Wells St., at 10 a.m. Sunday, according to a news release. This year's flag drop will also feature a small wedding ceremony.

Who doesn't like free stuff? FUEL Cafe and Bel Air will be giving out breakfast burritos and coffee, and 414 Milwaukee will be offering free limited-edition T-shirts (while supplies last).

Milwaukee Hittaz, directed by Jermey Reyes, will lead a drum line procession from The Hop's City Hall northbound stop to Wells Street to City Hall.

There will also be a multimedia booth from VISIT Milwaukee with DJ ZSMOOV from Jammin 98.3FM.

Over at the 414 Milwaukee shop, 207 E. Buffalo St. #318, select track suits and hoodies will be on sale for $41.40 on Sunday, the release said.

During the month of April, the center car of The Hop has been wrapped with DJ Shawna, Harmonic Harvest founder Jenna Washluski and Chris Gilbert in 414 Milwaukee, the release said.

414 and DJ Shawna are putting on a photo contest/cap giveaway through Saturday. People can take a photo with DJ Shawna's MKE Hop image, then post it on Instagram with the hashtag #414shawna. The people who post the 14 "most creative" photos will win a free 414 cap, per the release. Be safe and smart about this, folks.

Winners will be announced Saturday, and can collect their cap during the 414 Flag drop.

A giant 414 flag is unveiled from the balcony of Milwaukee City Hall on Monday, April 12, 2021. Milwaukee will celebrate Milwaukee Day on Wednesday, April 14, the same collection of digits as the area code for Milwaukee.
