If you thought your diary was a closely guarded secret (NEVER AGAIN, MOM), you are not prepared for the lock-and-key situation on Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare. Turns out, “millions of pounds” were spent keeping the book from leaking—putting in on par with the secrecy measures surrounding the Harry Potter series.

According to The Times, publishers have implemented “intensive security memoirs” to protect the memoir, and it’s an “enormous logistical operation.” Example? Deliveries to bookstores are being scheduled to arrive at the VERY last minute on January 10, the book’s publication day.

A valiant effort! Which...didn’t work, because last night The Guardian went ahead and published an explosive excerpt from the memoir after getting their hands on a copy. And we truly mean explosive. In said excerpt, Harry straight-up accuses his brother Prince William of physically attacking him during a fight about Meghan Markle at Harry’s home on Kensington Palace grounds. According to Harry, William knocked him to the floor, leaving scrapes and bruises that Meghan later noticed.

“He set down the water, called me another name, then came at me,” Harry said. “It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.”

Again, Harry’s book drops on January 10, so you can grab it at a local bookstore or go ahead and download it on Kindle at midnight if you’re thirsty.
