Milligan University to host Edible Books Festival

MILLIGAN, Tenn. (WJHL) — Milligan University Libraries will host its 14th Edible Books Festival in the P.H. Welshimer Memorial Library on April 8 – 9.

The event consists of Milligan community members creating appetizing and creative entries based on book titles or covers.

“The Edible Books Festival is one of the most beloved traditions of Milligan’s libraries,” Mary Jackson, research and instruction librarian, said in a news release. “We love to encourage the creative and fun side of the Milligan community in a bookish way. Every year, I am amazed and delighted by the entries.”

Contestants must drop off their entries in the library’s Welshimer Room by 10 a.m. on April 8. The public is invited to view and vote on the entries from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The library staff will announce the winners and award prizes on April 9.
