Millie Bobby Brown Spills the Details on Her New Florence by Mills Eye Shadow Palette
Millie Bobby Brown has done a lot in the past year: She led the new Godzilla movie, released two lines of custom Converse sneakers, and launched her own beauty brand. But there’s one more thing she had to check off her list before turning 16 on February 19: launch her own eye shadow palette.
In honor of her sweet 16, Millie is making her first foray into eye makeup with her beauty brand Florence by Mills. The new 16 Wishes eye shadow palette features, you guessed it, 16 different eye-catching shades, ranging from casual rosy pink to standout electric blue. With plenty of options, and a break-apart magnetic design, the palette proves a worthy companion for any night out.
Sixteen is a lot of options, but Millie has her favorite. “Love is my favorite color from the palette because it is a bright and bold pink, which just reminds me of my favorite birthday colors,” the actor says. “I plan to wear it for red carpets, events, and playing around with my friends.”
Millie’s fave joins other shades, like Peace and Justice, which, as she explains, are “everything I wish for the world.” If you're wondering why Millie’s 16th birthday felt like the perfect time for her to venture into eye makeup with this new line, she's got the answer. “I think most teens start to experiment with makeup around the age of 16,” the star says. “But I also think that 16 is an age that is appropriate for teens to start to experiment with color too.”
Millie’s taste for color is well-known to anyone who has followed her style evolution over the past few years. And as bold eye makeup continued to rise in popularity, Millie knew that it was time to release her own eye shadow style to the masses, bringing her unique voice and character with it. Plus, proceeds from the palette's sales support the Olivia Hope Foundation.
Fortunately, we don’t have to wait until Millie’s actual birthday to buy the palette, which is available now via the Florence by Mills website. Though the palette is already out, Millie’s not quite done celebrating. In her own words, there’s only one thing left on her list of 16th-birthday musts: “Get my driver’s license!”
While Millie’s sweet 16 is just around the corner, and she’s more than ready to get behind the wheel, the Stranger Things actor still isn’t ready to be a full-on adult. “When I was growing up, I thought that being 16 was basically being an adult,” Millie tells Teen Vogue, exclusively. “Now that I am nearly turning 16, it has made me realize that I am not ready and do not want to be an adult!”
