Millie Bobby Brown Shows Off Long, Curly Hair For "Enola Holmes"

When Millie Bobby Brown entered (read: exploded onto) the scene in 2016’s first season of Stranger Things, we quickly associated the actor with her short, cropped hair she sported as Eleven, AKA everyone’s favorite cool teen with special powers. And even as the character evolved over the course of the following two seasons, we rarely got to see Millie with hair much longer than her shoulders — until now, that is.

In a new Instagram post on Friday, August 2, the actor shared a BTS pic as the titular character in her upcoming film, Enola Holmes, which follows Sherlock Holmes's younger sister. In the photo, Millie is sporting honey-colored curly hair, which cascades in ringlets down her back and over her shoulders. “I love you Enola,” she captioned the ‘gram.

The curly ‘do is certainly a new look for Millie, but a gorgeous one at that, and her fans definitely agree. “We can’t wait to see her,” one Instagram user wrote of the actor’s latest character, while another simply commented “Da hair!” with a heart emoji. Seconded!

Embracing a new hairstyle seems to be all part of Millie’s preparation for a role; the actor has previously talked about the impact of shaving her head in order to step into Eleven’s shoes several years ago. “The day I shaved my head was the most empowering moment of my whole life,” Millie once said. “The last strand of hair cut off was the moment my whole face was on show and I couldn’t hide behind my hair like I used to. As I looked in the mirror I realized I had one job to do. Inspire.”

Pretty sure Millie has been inspiring her fans nonstop since that day, and we can’t wait to see what she does next. As for those Instagram-worthy curls, we’ll get to see them on the big screen when Enola Holmes hits theaters in 2020.
