Millie Bobby Brown is re-teaming up with Netflix. (And no, it’s not for Stranger Things 4.)
The streaming service is developing an all-new film, A Time Lost, which is an original story written by the 15-year-old actress and her sister, Paige. Although we don’t know if Millie will star in the movie, she will serve as a producer alongside PCMA Productions.
“We are so grateful to Netflix for their confidence in us and this beautiful story, which we have spent years writing and developing,” the Brown sisters said in a joint statement, per The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s about friendship, family and overcoming obstacles when it feels like the world is pushing you down. It’s been a labor of love, literally.”
A Time Lost will follow two Long Island families who have a complicated relationship. However, everything changes when one of their daughters receives a devastating cancer diagnosis. While the story is written by Millie and Paige, Anna Klassen (Dorothy and Alice) is adapting it for the big screen.
According to Lisa Nishimura—the vice president of independent film and documentary features for Netflix—it was a no-brainer partnering with the Stranger Things star.
“Millie is an extraordinary creative talent,” she said. “We’ve been lucky to have her in our family from the beginning of her career. It is a genuine thrill to witness Millie bring her distinct vision to the screen, now as a writer and producer, alongside her sister on this wonderful film.”
No word on when A Time Lost will hit Netflix, though we’ll be ready when it does.
