Millie Bobby Brown Reflects on 'Unhealthy' Past Relationship

The 'Stranger Things' actress was previously involved with TikTok star Hunter Ecimovic.

Millie Bobby Brown is opening up about her former relationship with TikToker Hunter Ecimovic.

In a new interview with Allure, the 18-year-old described her relationship with Ecimovic as an "unhealthy situation" that she got into back in 2020.

After building up the nerve to leave the social media star in January 2021, Brown went on to film Season 4 of Stranger Things, where she was able to channel her emotions into her on-screen counterpart, Eleven.

"I felt very vulnerable," Brown recalled in the interview published on Wednesday, August 10. "Also, no one on the set knew I was going through this. So it was kind of nice to be able to just deal with that myself and no one else knew. Then it was harder when the whole world knew."

Months after Brown called things off with Ecimovic, the 22-year-old went live on social media to make harrowing allegations about the Enola Holmes star, including claims that he had inappropriate romantic relations with Brown and "groomed" the young actress, who was still a minor at the time.

"It was a year of healing," Brown told Allure, noting that she felt "publicly humiliated" by the incident. "I felt so out of control and powerless."

"Walking away and knowing that I'm worth everything and this person didn't take anything from me, it felt very empowering," she continued. "It felt like my life had finally turned a page and that I had ended a chapter that felt so f**king long."

"Ultimately, all I wanted to do within my career is help young girls and young people out there know that I, too, go through things," Brown added. "I'm not this perfect person that is selling skin-care products and in Stranger Things. I absolutely have made wrong decisions."

Since ending things with Ecimovic, Brown has since started up a romance with current boyfriend, Jake Bongiovi.
