Millie Bobby Brown and Maddie Ziegler Had the Cutest BFF Moment at the VMAs

Millie Bobby Brown and Maddie Ziegler are close friends-and big fans of one another, too. The Stranger Things star and the Dance Moms alum ran into each other on the pink carpet at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards Monday night, and couldn’t contain their excitement.

The two met because Millie was a fan of Dance Moms, and stopped by the set of So You Think You Can Dance to meet Maddie. The two met backstage, and Millie totally fangirled over her. At the time, Maddie hadn’t watched Stranger Things yet.

“And we actually connected. I was like, ‘I know we’ll be friends.’ And then she was talking about her show. I didn’t really know what she was talking about. And then when I watched Stranger Things in a day and a half - it was so good!” Maddie told People.

“Then you followed me on Twitter-and I had a meltdown-and the rest is history, really,” Millie told Maddie in Interview magazine. “I finally got your number, and then we met, and we had that very hysterical day where we met some funny people at the pool. We just clicked.”

Now, the two are close, and even visited The Wizarding World of Harry Potter together. “We talk about that all the time. We love how we’re so alike in so many ways,” Maddie told People. “We’re two people that are so happy that we found each other because we could relate to each other, and we’re not brats in this industry and can just enjoy time together. We relate in so many ways being in the industry!”
