But please don't.

For the past year, food-inspired beauty trends have become pretty much inescapable online. There's the Hailey Bieber-approved strawberry makeup, cinnamon cookie butter hair, and glazed donut everything; but we've also seen cherry mocha nails, cranberry beauty, and tomato girl blush catch on.

Fast forward to 2024, and we're finally seeing our beauty products follow suit. Though skincare has long embraced culinary inspiration—see Ilia's milky toner or any of Rhode's flavored lip treatments for proof—makeup has never been so overtly food-ified till now. The latest example? Milk Makeup just released a new Cooling Water Jelly Tint Cheek and Lip Stain ($24) that looks just like all your favorite gummy candies—and it's already gone extremely viral.

Ahead, all the details on the new makeup product everyone wants to take a bite out of.

The Product

Lip and cheek stains have been a fixture in many makeup lovers' routines for years. There's the iconic Benetint, Tarte's color-changing tint, and numerous other sticks and serums that give your lips and cheeks a natural flush of color. However, this one is different because it's, well, jelly. The unique texture caused the sticks to go viral before they even launched, with hundreds of influencer reviews on the app. In fact, all the buzz made the Jelly Tint sell out on sephora.com within minutes of the launch—but don't worry, they're still available on Milk's website (at least for now).

The Milk Makeup Cooling Water Jelly Tint is a first-of-its-kind, bouncy, Jello-like formula that looks as much like a gummy bear as it feels. However, it has more than just an exciting texture; the new product also boasts over 1,000 swipes per stick, delivering a cooling, skin-enhancing sensation in four universally flattering shades.

Of the four shades, the brightest is Burst. A poppy pink color, it's almost like a strawberry Starburst. On a warmer note, the coral shade Spritz is here if you ever feel like trying out an orange TicTac-inspired beauty look.

On the darker end of the spectrum we have Chill and Splash. Chill is the juicy red hue in the collection, perfect for Twizzler or cinnamon candy-inspired glam routines. The last shade is Splash, a gorgeous berry. This is for all the Welch's fruit snack lovers who just need to bring the grape fantasy to their faces.

All four of the shades promise sheer but buildable coverage—think of it like a watercolor tint or popsicle stain. However, make sure you blend quickly, as the sheer jelly formula dries ultra-fast, and won't budge once set. As the name suggests, you can use the sticks on both your cheeks and lips.

The Formula

Inside the delicious-looking product, there're more than just a perfect, sheer tint—all four shades are packed with skincare ingredients to help firm and refresh the skin.

First and most importantly, the Cooling Water Jelly Tints are formulated with vegan collagen. Collagen, vegan or not, is a multi-tasking ingredient that can help firm the skin, decrease wrinkles, and increase elasticity in the skin.

The product also includes seawater. Picture how good your skin feels after a dip in the ocean; that's because the salt water is packed with antioxidants, minerals, and antibacterial properties that help soothe the skin at every level. Aloe is the last skincare ingredient in the mix, perfect for soothing and cooling.
