A second trailer is out for A24’s Civil War, an action-packed drama in which certain states are attempting to secede from the US. Directed by Alex Garland, the film boasts a star-studded cast of Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Cailee Spaeny, Jesse Plemons and Nick Offerman.

In the movie, a team of journalists is traveling across the fragmented country amid the Second American Civil War. Along the way, they’re faced with militias representing their respective states, along with dystopian legions such as the Florida alliance and the "Western Forces" of Texas and California.

Offerman stars as the president of the crumbling country, while Dunst plays a journalist documenting the chaos. In the video’s opening, Offerman tells the public over a broadcast that all are welcome in the US if they dispose of their “illegal secessionist governments.”

In between shots of the journalists photographing army uniform-clad shooters, a tank fires missiles, blowing up the Lincoln Memorial.

With a budget of $50 million USD, Civil War marks A24’s most expensive project to date. The film is slated to premiere in theaters on April 12.
