Miley Cyrus Wears a Black Pantsuit to Grammys 2018

Miley Cyrus will be performing at the 2018 Grammy Awards alongside industry icon, Elton John, and she certainly dressed the part for Sunday night’s red carpet event. Though she chose an all-black dress, versus his more eye-catching sequin blazer, it was a look that certainly commanded attention — and we were totally there for it. Miley has softened her look in the past year or so and tonight’s look was dictated by that, as she looked flawless and grown up in a black junpsuit by Jean Paul Gaultier with a cut-out neckline and symmetrical drapings on her arms. She accessorized with a long-stem white rose in support of Time’s Up.

In contrast to this year’s red carpet look, Miley’s performance roots dictated a wardrobe of barely-there bodysuits, embellished looks, and out-there accessories. Save for the lingerie-inspired outfits, her vibe is very similar to Elton, who is not only known for his epic hits, but also for his disco-inspired fashion choices. For both, it’s the more out-there, the better, when it comes to their wardrobes. Only time will tell whether her on-stage look at the event will pay similar tribute to the singer when she gets up in front of the crowd later this evening.

Just a few days ago, Miley Cyrus gave a subtle nod to Elton, wearing embellished heels that read his name on the side along with a leather jacket with his face painted on the back. The jacket said “The B*tch is back” above the image. It seems as though Elton’s retirement announcement could be just the thing to resurrect Miley’s more head-turning sartorial taste if the past week has been any indication.
