Miley Cyrus continues to make a case for bigger, better and bolder style with every chance she gets.

The “Prisoner” songstress took to Instagram last night to debut yet another standout ensemble, this time posed atop a car in a series of unmissable pieces. For apparel, Cyrus opted for a design from one of her favorite labels, Alexandre Vauthier; the off-the-shoulder ruffled romper from the brand’s upcoming spring ’21 collection features a voluminous bodice atop short-shorts with a retail price of $5,213 at Luisaviaroma.com.
In her caption, the actress took a moment to reflect after the passing of her dog Mary Jane earlier this week, writing: “Although we can’t be together right now I hope you can feel my appreciation in spirit. I am constantly thinking about the time we can reunite & mosh again. I miss you so fucking much. Ready for this circus to come to an end.”
To round out the already bold look, the Disney Channel alumna slipped on wow-worthy thigh-high boots that came coated in glittering studs; the shoe was set atop a pointed-toe silhouette with a towering stiletto heel to tout.
Thigh-high boots have quickly become the must-have boot silhouette this season. From leather twists on the trend to edgy lace-up styles, you can find the daringly high shoes on everyone from Ciara to Lily Collins and Gwen Stefani amongst other major stars. In colder temperatures, the silhouette offers coverage to counter shorter hems of skirts and shorts as well as provides an extra layer to any leggings or jeans look.
Cyrus herself has always been a fan of the lifted boot style, most recently opting for an all-black iteration for a performance on the “Howard Stern Show” in December 2020.
While Cyrus herself is best known for her hit albums and box office films, she also dips her toes in the fashion and shoe space. The “LOL” star made an appearance on the runway at the Marc Jacobs’ fall ’20 show and has also sat front row at shows for top labels such as Tom Ford and Saint Laurent. She also has worked with Converse on a series of pride-filled shoe collections.
The Converse collaborator has been vegan for years, and she oftentimes embraces wardrobe pieces that are cruelty-free. In fact, at last year’s Met Gala, Cyrus teamed a Saint Laurent minidress with a custom vegan leather version of the brand’s Paige platform sandals. Her other go-to designers for fashion and apparel include any label that can give her look a standout edge — think Versace, Saint Laurent, Alexandre Vauthier and Azalea Wang amongst others.
