Miley Cyrus Shares Sweet Birthday Wishes for Cody Simpson

Miley Cyrus wished her boyfriend Cody Simpson a happy 23rd birthday in the sweetest way: by calling him her “best friend in the entire world.”

As noted by Entertainment Tonight, Miley made her birthday wishes to Cody public in a series of Instagram Stories on January 11. Despite Cody being in Milan on his big day, Miley made sure to spread the love with obligatory IG tributes. In her posts, Miley shared pics of herself and Cody looking as adorable as ever. "Happy birthday to my best friend in the entire world @codysimpson. I love you and our pirate life,” the singer shared. In another snap, she wrote, “Happy birthday to my favorite human to get weird with on the entire earth. I love you.” Aww!

So what gifts did Miley give Cody to celebrate his birthday, you might ask? That was documented on her Stories too. According to Elle, she gave him an antique doctor bag emblazoned with “Prince Neptune,” AKA Cody’s alter ego, and the title of his recently-published book of poetry.

Miley and Cody have been romantically linked since the fall of 2019, not long after the singer-songwriter's split from ex-husband Liam Hemsworth. They made it official in October, and have regularly appeared in each other’s social media posts since. Cody was even by Miley’s side when she had surgery on her vocal cords, and later wrote a song, “Golden Thing,” all about her. They spent the holidays together too, taking plenty of time to pose for festive group photos in front of the tree. It’s pretty clear that Miley and Cody are having a lot of fun together and that they cherish one another, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for the couple. Ain’t love grand?
