Miley Cyrus Got a Tattoo Inspired by That Romantic Vacation She Took With Kaitlynn Carter
Miley Cyrus got a new arm tattoo commemorating her trip to Italy with Kaitlynn Carter.
Miley and Kaitlynn were spotted hooking up on a boat on the same day Miley’s split from Liam Hemsworth was announced.
In case you’re wondering how serious Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter’s new relationship is, the answer is: serious enough for a tattoo. Miley went ahead and hit up celeb-fave tattoo artist Doctor Woo and got the Visconti of Milan coat of arms inked on her arm—a memento of her time in Italy this summer with Kaitlynn.
The tattoo features a giant serpent swallowing a child (so very Slytherin) and is a common symbol of Milan. Doctor Woo said the inspiration was a “cool old sculpture @MileyCyrus found in Italy” and shared a photo of his work on Instagram:

As anyone who’s been keeping up with Miley’s love life knows, she was joined on vacation in Italy by Brody Jenner’s ex-wife, Kaitlyn Carter—and they were spotted hooking up poolside. Ahem, on the same day Miley’s rep confirmed her split from Liam Hemsworth after less than a year of marriage. Liam has since filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences”—which has come as a surprise to Miley.
“She didn’t expect it and is a bit disappointed, but she is still doing well and has obviously moved on as well,” a source told People. “What she and Liam had for a long time was very special. It’s just hard for her to think that she will never have this again with Liam. There are really so many things that she loves about him.”
The couple famously met on set of The Last Song in 2009 and got married in December 2018 after years of breakups and makeups.
