Miley Cyrus Dons Custom Gold Maison Margiela Gown Made of Safety Pins on Grammys 2024 Red Carpet

Miley Cyrus walked Sunday’s 2024 Grammys red carpet in Los Angeles wearing an intricately crafted gold gown from Maison Margiela. Her look, styled with gold velvet Tabi split-toe heels, was constructed entirely from safety pins.
Cyrus’ dress was worn without any visible undergarments underneath, creating a sheer overlay effect. In addition to her dress’ imitation netted textile, its neckline, waistline and bodice were sculpted using a strategic arrangement of pins that resembled a structured collar, loose draping and molded cups.

Safety pin details have been popular among designers this season, with both Yohji Yamamoto and Dries Van Noten incorporating the metallic clasps into their spring and fall 2024 men’s lines, respectively.
During the ceremony, Cyrus’ “Flowers” scored her a Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance. She’s also expected to perform her 2023 hit at tonight’s show.
The singer was dressed by celebrity stylist Bradley Kenneth, a close friend and member of Cyrus’ team for over a decade. Recently, Kenneth styled Cyrus in Maison Margiela for her “Used To Be Young” music video, which was released in August 2023.
Cyrus has been known to favor metallic elements, with the singer arriving at Versace’s fall 2023 fashion show in Los Angeles last March in a standout one-shoulder gown adorned with silver chains.
The singer’s dirty blond tresses, which featured an array of highlights, were styled in voluminous curls. Her makeup was kept simple with muted rose blush accentuating her bronzed cheekbones.
Cyrus is the face of Gucci’s Flora perfume, having starred in commercials and campaign advertisements for the luxury fragrance.
The 2024 Grammys, held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Feb. 4, celebrates the biggest artists, albums and songs of the year. Hosted by comedian Trevor Noah, the 66th annual ceremony features performances from Billie Eilish, SZA, Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo, among others. The Recording Academy will also present Lifetime Achievement Awards to Donna Summer, N.W.A., Tammy Wynette and Gladys Knight.
