Miley Cyrus Debuted a New Hairdo on Instagram

She played the Hannah Montana for five years so seeing Miley Cyrus sporting full-on blonde hair at this point should be natural yet fans were not prepared for the singer's new hairdo when she debuted on social media.

On Nov. 25, Miley shared a photo rocking a new haircut and color to her Instagram stories leaving fans shook, perplexed and with many questions. For the new look, Miley went full-on blonde — gone are those brown roots and back are the Hannah Montana vibes!

However, as striking as the new color might be, it's the cut itself that has fans scratching their heads. It appears Miley went for a shoulder-length bob with bangs but, instead of a clean-cut look, the singer decided to go for a choppier and messy approach.

And that’s because it looks like Miley actually got the haircut from her mother. On Nov. 23, the star posted a video to her Instagram stories of her mom chopping off her blonde locks. While it only appeared to be a trim from that video, most drastic measures were obviously taken between that night and today.

Miley’s new messy bob had a mixed reaction on social media. "She's beautiful no matter what her hair looks like....but :(," one fan tweeted, while another simply said, "Ilysm miley." A third fan, on the other hand, saw the potential in the look, thinking it may be the opportunity to revive Miley's Black Mirror character Ashley O., who also had a bob. "Fingers crossed she'll dye it lavender and film an Ashley O movie," they wrote.

Whether you like the cut itself or not, the blonde dye is certainly a hit and might want to recreate yourself.
