Miley Cyrus's "Mother's Daughter" Music Video Stars Little Miss Flint, Aaron Philip, and More

"As a black girl in a wheelchair who happens to be trans — I just want to have a good life and do good."

Prepare to pay close attention, because Miley Cyrus just dropped the brand new video for her single, "Mother's Daughter," and it's filled with cameos from all of our faves. Like so many of Miley's videos, this one is also a delight for the eyes, and it even features the assistance of Miley's own mother, Tish Cyrus.

For the video, Miley flashes a number of empowering written messages to fans while repeatedly singing, "Don't f*ck with my freedom." Wearing a red latex suit, Miley dances throughout the clip, as images of her powerful guest stars, including Aaron Philip and Little Miss Flint, are interspersed with phrases like "Feminist AF," "Virginity is a social construct," and "Not an object." Miley touched on the importance of her message in an accompanying Twitter post, writing, "Music makes Movements! We got the power!"

True to the song's title, the song features Miley taking an emotional moment to thank Tish, and she reflects on her mother's continued support. At one point, the pop star cries into the camera, declaring, "I came up to get me some/I'm nasty, I'm evil/Must be something in the water or that I'm my mother's daughter."

Prior to the video's release, Miley had shared a number of BTS photos of the cast, including an image of Aaron and Amazon Ashley. Others starring in the video include Lacey Baker, Trydryn Scott, Melanie Sierra, Paige Fralix, Vendela, and Casil McArthur.

On Instagram, each star in the video shared a little bit about themselves and what they think about activism. "As a black girl in a wheelchair who happens to be trans - I just want to have a good life and do good in whatever my endeavors consist of, regardless of what that might mean in the face of oppression," Aaron Philip said on Instagram. "I do not identify or label myself as an activist, but that’s just because I care- and I think everyone should, activist or not. I fight for my freedom by being myself.”

This isn't the first time the singer has used her music to send a message. In June, Miley had used the song's chorus for a collaboration with Marc Jacobs. The pair unveiled a collection of limited-edition hoodies that benefitted Planned Parenthood.
