Mila Kunis Calls Out Husband Ashton Kutcher and Reese Witherspoon for 'Awkward' Red Carpet Photos

The 'Your Place or Mine' stars aren't exactly embodying rom-com vibes.

Folks aren't so convinced the chemistry is there between Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher—least of all, his wife, Mila Kunis.

The pair have been on the promotional trail for their new Netflix rom-com Your Place or Mine, but fans have noticed that they don't exactly pull off the air of a couple, and after a recent walk down the red carpet at one premiere, Kunis herself has called them out for their less than loving behavior.

The Spy Who Dumped Me star wrote to Witherspoon following a new set of photos, noting, "You guys look so awkward on the red carpet together" in an email, as the Legally Blonde star shared during an interview with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager yesterday, Feb. 6.

But Kutcher wasn't free from his wife's criticism. He revealed during a visit to the Chicks in the Office podcast that Kunis had thrown the lot of them into a group chat, clueing them into the memes that have been made surrounding their awkward poses, in which they seem careful not to touch one another, and demanding, "Guys, you gotta, like, act like you like each other.”

To his credit, Kutcher went on to point out how the reactions would be flipped if they were more visibly familiar with one another. "Here’s the thing. If I put my arm around her and was all friendly with her, I’d be having an affair with her. Like, the rumor would be that I’m having an affair with her,” he said.

Instead, he found himself at the complete opposite end of the spectrum, with folks assuming that the two actually hate each other.

Witherspoon assured viewers of the Today Show that that couldn't be further from the truth. “He’s so professional. He’s the funniest guy. I mean, such a goofball. We had so much fun..." she said.

It did take a bit of work to get there, though, as the two "didn't really know each other" beforehand. The two started chatting every day about a month before filming. "I was like, 'These are my dogs. These are my kids,'" she shared.
