From his surprise rapping skills to his hilarious reaction to having a spider on his head, Mike Tindall has already earned his place in the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! hall of fame. But, in last night's episode, the former rugby player turned royal revealed that his wife, Zara Tindall, had some reservations about him going on the hit show.

Chatting to his fellow campmates, Mike opened up about how Zara – who is 20th in line to the British throne as the daughter of Princess Anne – had reacted to his decision to enter the jungle. "Zara told me to go and be myself, which is all you can be. She said to go enjoy and be yourself," he said.

That's not to say the royal was free of any reservations, however. "Zara's biggest worry is how loud I am when I eat," Mike admitted. "She will be very happy if someone comments about how loud I breathe when I eat because it's always a point that she brings up."

Despite Zara's horror at the habit, Mike pointed out that he's well aware of how loud he breathes, adding that there's a very valid reason for it. "When your nose has been mangled as much as mine it is just a by-product," he said, referencing his 17 year career as a professional rugby player.

Loud breathing aside, Mike went on to say that Zara has been very supportive of him going on I'm A Celeb.... "Zara gets it and supports it – with both our careers, she goes away competing for weeks at a time and I always went on tours for three, four weeks in the summer, so our relationship has always been built to deal with that and we’re good at compartmentalising and finding ways to deal with it," he revealed.
