Mike Tindall isn't your average member of the royal family. The former rugby star, who is the husband of Princess Anne's daughter, Zara Tindall, has become a favorite among fans for his down-to-earth approach to being a part of one of the world's most famous families.

Case in point: his latest appearance on the talk show Good Morning Britain. Though he was there to promote his annual charity golf tournament, the talk naturally turned to the recent coronation of King Charles III and the celebrations surrounding it, of which he and Zara were, of course, a part. While many might have been stressed ahead of the historic day, Mike revealed that he and Zara took the opportunity to have a date night the night before the coronation—and stayed out until 2 a.m.

"It was quite nice to have a little date night," he said, according to People. "You know, sometimes when you've got three children, it's not always the easiest to get out and just have a drink together. It was quite nice to have a little bit of time where we could just go out and have a drink and have a chat. I definitely don't regret that."

And as for staying out into the wee hours? "Never worry about what's tomorrow. Enjoy the moment and then you can deal with the next day later," he advised.

The couple-time kept rolling for the Tindalls throughout the weekend, as they were also seen enjoying themselves in the royal box at the coronation concert on May 7. Mike, who was spotted on camera dancing to performances by Lionel Richie and Katy Perry, laughed about his moves, saying, "It's very difficult when you're on a raised platform that's under a lot of lights, I felt I didn't really put my best foot forward ... If you started doing interesting dance maneuvers on that platform next to the King I'm not entirely sure it would have gone down that well!" He added with a laugh, "As Hitch once said in the movie, 'You've got to stay in your safe zone' and my flag waving, I tried to do the best flag waving out there."

Proving once again that he might just be the most relatable royal.
