The 2024 Stark County Home & Garden Show will run April 19-20 at Hall of Fame Village’s new Center for Performance.

The show has so many highlights this year that I thought I’d provide an overview of what to expect and then give greater detail over the next few weeks.

Location

The 73rd Stark County Home & Garden show returns to Hall of Fame Village in the Center for Performance. Our show will be nestled among the stores and restaurants in the Fan Engagement Zone, which includes Don Shula’s American Kitchen, The Brew Kettle, Heggy’s Nut Shop, The Pizza Oven and Smoosh cookies. We’ve expanded the show hours on April 19 to give visitors time to see the show and then walk the Fan Engagement Zone, get something to eat, and maybe pick up something for the kids at Build A Bear. You’ll be able to visit Play Action Plaza to ride the Forward Pass Zip Line or Red Zone Ferris Wheel.

Home professionals

Do you need a new roof, windows or gutters? Are you thinking of a sunroom or that new, trendy wood-look ceramic tile for your floors?  The Home & Garden Show has all that and more, including tradesmen, remodelers, suppliers and experts in every aspect of home design, decoration, repair and remodeling. All elements of home construction and remodeling are well represented at the show. Most importantly, the pros are the most qualified and respected in the industry. Whatever job you have in mind, we are sure to have a professional on hand to offer assistance.

Health & Wellness Expo presented by Aultman/AultCare

On April 19, an event designed as a symposium on the pillars of wellness will feature expert advice on mental, social, financial and physical living at optimal levels. There is no “right time” to start taking care of yourself. The Expo will provide tips on wellness and preventive maintenance from your teens through retirement. Expo highlights include basic healthcare education and information, expert speakers, medical screenings, exercise techniques, equipment demonstrations, preventive care advice for common health conditions, nutritional education, financial planning for all ages, chiropractic care suggestions and demonstrations and alternative wellness.

The 720 Market

An eclectic indoor market of makers, bakers, growers, brewers and artists teeming with variety and flair. The 720 Market allows you to experience arts and crafts in a way you can’t get from your mobile device! More than 50 artisans will display wares ranging from beautiful home décor to tasty treats.

Landscaping

Are you thinking of sprucing up your yard? There will be eight beautiful landscape displays to inspire you. These displays are created by certified design pros that are among the best in the area for creativity on a budget. All are one of a kind and sure to give you ideas for your property.

Entertainment

Musical performers are abundant each day of the show. On Friday, check out Morningstar (bluegrass American); and Prime Trio (classic pop and rock). On Saturday, don’t miss Vocal Fusion and Blue Lunch (blues, R&B, swing). JT Turk from 1480 WHBC-AM also will be on hand for live presentations with exhibitors.

Food trucks

No matter what you’re craving, our food truck lineup can satisfy everyone in your group. Don’t forget our Beer & Wine Garden in the Landscape section, as well. If the weather cooperates, we hope to have an outdoor environment for eating and drinking as well.

Door prizes

Everyone’s a winner at our show … or at least you have a very good chance of being one! Door prizes are seemingly endless. One lucky attendee will win a $1,000 gift certificate to be used with one of the show vendors. So if you’re looking for a room remodel, windows, roof, garage door, kitchen, gutters, or anything else in the show – you could win a considerable head start in making it happen by winning this prize. Other door prizes include a Weber grill from Mohler Lumber; Trane air conditioner from Hey Neighbor Heating & Cooling; $50 gift certificates to Don Shula’s American Kitchen, Heggy’s Nut Shop, The Pizza Oven, Smoosh cookie, The Brew Kettle and Starbucks.
