Mike Batayeh, Comedian and 'Breaking Bad' Actor, Dead at 52

Mike Batayeh, comedian and actor on Breaking Bad, has passed away. He was 52 years old.

On June 9, TMZ confirmed that the performer, who fans may recognize from the AMC hit series, died last week on June 1.

According to the outlet, Batayeh's family confirmed the news, revealing that the comedian died of a heart attack in his sleep while home in Michigan. The death was sudden, according to his sister Diane, as it's said the actor didn't have any known heart issues.

"He will be greatly missed by those who loved him," the family noted in a statement, "and his great ability to bring laughter and joy to so many."

In addition to his three-episode arc as Dennis Markowski on Breaking Bad, Batayeh popped up on several hit TV programs, including Disney Channel's Jessie, FXX's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, CBS' JAG, and Fox's The Bernie Mac Show, among others.

Tributes have already started to pour in for Batayeh. One follower wrote on Instagram, "Will miss you so much! Heartbroken."

Comedian Steven Lolli, who identified himself as a friend of Batayeh's, penned on Twitter, "Mike Batayeh was one of my 1st & best friends in comedy in LA & a great comedian. He played Dennis in #BreakingBad of course. No matter how successful, he always included friends. Class act. Ask God to please go easy on us Jews, Mike. It will be a great favor coming from you RIP."

Batayeh is survived by his five sisters and his nieces and nephews.
