We reported earlier this week that all-time ski racing great Mikaela Shiffrin was spotted training at still-open Mammoth Mountain, California.

A few lucky fans whipped out their phones and captured Shiffrin as she sliced and diced her way through a heavily salted slalom course. Click here for more.

Shiffrin's summer training session at Mammoth is over, and she took to Instagram to thank the mountain for hosting her. She also shared some absolutely stellar shots by photographer Mike Dawsy. Check them out below:

Mikaela Shiffrin: "We had such a productive camp in @mammothmountain this past week!! It was super warm and not the easiest conditions, but big props to my team, @atomicski, and the staff at Mammoth for working so hard to make it the best training in the world at this point of the year. The fact that we were skiing in California in late July/early August is still wild to me! 🤯🌟🙌"

Quick aside here, but do kids still hang posters on their walls? If so, I can guarantee that nearly every single one of those shots would sell like hot cakes to young skiers across the globe.

Heck. I'd frame that first black and white photo and hang it in my office if it was available for purchase. Well done Mike Dawsy, well done!

Check out the video below captured by Jim Fitlow of Shiffrin crashing gates on July 31st, 2023:

Mammoth Mountain has been able to remain open all summer long thanks to a record amount of snow falling throughout the winter, but their historic season is about to come to an end.

The resort's final day of the Winter '22-'23 season will be this Sunday, August 6th. It will be Mammoth's 275th day of the season!
