A Georgia guidance counselor is no longer employed by a middle school after complaints surfaced from parents about an alleged conversation she had with students.

Parents of Woodstock Middle School students claimed the counselor walked into a sixth-grade locker room in August and told the young girls, “Raise your hand if you’re a bitch,” Atlanta station WSB-TV reports.

Barbara P. Jacoby, chief communications officer for Cherokee County School District, told Yahoo that school officials can’t comment on the specifics of employee disciplinary action, but she confirmed that “a complaint was made about a Woodstock Middle School counselor’s comments to students and was investigated.” She added that though there will be no criminal charges, the counselor in question won’t return to school in Woodstock, Georgia,.

It’s unclear when the counselor was fired, however. As the school launched an investigation, the affected students weren’t interviewed about the alleged incident until the following week, parents told WSB-TV.

The school district has not commented on the exact remark the guidance counselor made, but parents told the local station that nothing can be said to “justify” referring to middle schoolers with profanity.
