Mickey Mouse went above and beyond in an emotional meet-and-greet with a grieving family, and the footage is bringing millions to tears.

The sweet moment, captured by TikTok user and proud aunt, Jules (@emberinferno), gained over 1.6 million views, 260,000 likes and 3,000 emotional comments.

Now, much like the footage of the Not-So-Evil Queen’s touching interaction with a special-needs teen, this Disney World meet-and-greet is making TikTokers fall even more in love with character performers.

Jules — or Aunt JuJu, as she was known to her little niece, Rayne — captured the touching interaction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, located in the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Fla.

“We took Rayne to meet Mickey for her birthday 🎂 He didn’t want her to be cold 🥹🌈🐞,” Jules’s caption reads.

According to the family’s tribute page, Rainbows for Rayne, the 6-year-old — known to all who loved her as “Bug” — was born with a mysterious health condition that caused numerous medical complications.

After she passed away in October 2022, the family decided to celebrate her seventh birthday by bringing her photo to Walt Disney World, where she met all her favorite characters.

But it was her interaction with Mickey Mouse that truly moved the family — and all of TikTok.

In the footage, the smiling mouse folds a napkin around the photo to “tuck in” little Rayne, then waves to and gently kisses the photo. He then comforts Rayne’s family one by one, pressing his head to theirs and gesturing for them not to cry. He points a gloved hand to the ceiling, then gestures for them to smile. Without saying a word, he makes Jules pinky-promise him not to cry, then kisses Rayne’s photo again.

“Thats a cast member going above and beyond the call of duty as the mouse himself,” one user wrote.

“mickey told y’all not to cry but forgot to tell me 😭 I’m bawling,” another commented.

“Disney is so expensive why keep going back?” one user wrote, repeating a question some Disney critics ask. “This right here this is why people keep going back. Cast members go above and beyond to make memories.”

“as a former CM [cast member], I’ve temporarily carried the grief of guests so they could have a moment of happiness. it’s the best gift you can give,” one user shared.

“Mickey telling you both not to cry. Got ME cryin 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹,” another wrote.

But Mickey didn’t stop there. He also led the family in singing “Happy Birthday” to Rayne. When the song concluded, he looked up and waved at the sky — a gesture that put many already emotional TikTokers over the edge.

“when he waved upwards…..🥲🥲🥲🥲so sweet. im sorry about your loss,” one user wrote.

“i lost it at him waving😭,” another commented.

“Andddddd now I’m sobbing 😭,” one user wrote.

“i didn’t expect to BAWL,” another added.

“You know whoever is under there is crying. This was so special,” one comment read.

“Not me bawling 🥺 Disney cast members have some awesome training, but most of the time their interactions come from their own kind hearts and humanity,” shared one user.

Mickey Mouse was far from the only Disney character Rayne met that day, but his interaction was by far the most emotional.

Even the official account of @DisneyParks weighed in on the touching footage: “Mickey always knows how to put a smile our face 🥹 Sending you lots of love and pixie dust 🫶”

Rayne’s mom, TikTok user @chaos_queen77, still honors Bug’s memory with her uploads, and through charitable donations of her daughter’s medical supplies to organizations in need.

Thanks to Rayne — and a little help from Mickey Mouse — the internet is now full of more rainbows and pixie dust, something we could all use more of.
