Mick Jagger's Girlfriend Sets the Record Straight on Engagement Rumors

Rumors swirled about the ring that Mick Jagger's girlfriend, Melanie Hamrick, sported on her left hand. But now, the choreographer is laying the gossip to rest.
While speaking to People about the release of her debut novel, First Position, the former ballerina, 36, confirmed that it was given to her by her rock 'n' roll beau, 79, but it's not the ring everyone is thinking it is.
"I mean, I have to giggle because did Mick give me the ring? Yes," she confirmed. "Is it for that finger? Yes. But are we like, horny teenagers where we’re giving each other… In my mind, it's a promise ring. We'll be immature and call it a promise ring."
The couple met in 2014, welcoming their son, Deveraux Octavian Basil, two years later, but that doesn't mean they're headed down the aisle.
"I'm kind of like, a live-in-the-moment type of person, so who knows," she said of the idea of wedding bells ringing in her future.
While Jagger may not be next in line to wed anytime soon, plenty of celebrities have tied the knot recently, including Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup, who shared a photo from their courthouse wedding on Instagram, Sofia Richie, who married Elliot Grainge in a ceremony attended by countless big names, and Eminem's daughter Alaina Scott, who wed her longtime partner Matt Moeller in a swoon-worthy event.
Jagger's reported ex Noor Alfallah even expanded her family recently. In June, the producer, 29, welcomed a baby boy, named Roman, with boyfriend Al Pacino.
The 79-year-old actor said of his latest addition, "I've got many kids, so this is really special, coming at this time."
