Michelle Yeoh's luxe Spanish-style entryway has this stylish springtime centerpiece

Michelle Yeoh won the best actress Oscar for Everything Everywhere All at Once – making her the first south-east Asian performer to receive the award.

After making history at the Academy Awards in Los Angeles, the Malaysian-born actress is currently one of the most talked-about figures in her industry – but a look inside her entryway shows she's no stranger to the interior design world, too.

The actress, who primarily resides in Geneva, Switzerland, shared a look inside an impressive, Spanish-style space before attending the Inaugural Gold Gala. Prior to getting ready, Michelle is seen arranging the peonies on a glass table that sits as a centerpiece. She has styled large, decorative twigs in two dark vases – framing the peonies while making a statement in the neutral-painted room.

It's certainly easy to see why Michelle is unable to resist peonies – the bloom that has dominated flower trends in recent years (and now, partly thanks to Michelle, we don't expect them to fall out of favor anytime soon).

Typically blooming between late April and mid-Jun, Peonies embody the beauty and vibrancy of springtime – though they come with a famously fleeting lifespan. We're yet to see peonies bloom this year, but when they do, you can enjoy Michelle Yeoh-approved bloom in your entryway (if only for a few weeks). And when looking for peony styling tips, you could do far worse than follow the actress's lead.

Celebrity florist Larry Walshe approves of Michelle's arrangement, saying that a large selection – displayed in a glass vase – offers a timeless look that makes the statement these flowers deserve.

'In my opinion, there is nothing finer than a large bunch displayed en masse in a vase at home,' he says. 'They will open over the week into the most exquisite blooms and need no other stems or foliage to shine. In fact, they will stand out much better flying solo.'

This hand-painted terracotta vase resembles the one spotted on Michelle Yeoh's glass table. For a similar, minimalist look, style with twigs or one single stem, or buy two and pair them together on a table in your entryway.

Clear Glass Cylinder Vase

This translucent vase is perfect for a bunch of peonies (or any other flower of your choice when peony season concludes).  It's simple but always stylish and offers an arrangement just like Michelle Yeoh's.
