Happy news as we celebrate the end of 2019! According to People, Dawson's Creek legend Michelle Williams is engaged to director Thomas Kail. Kail directed Williams in her award-winning role in FX's Fosse/Verdon. The pair was recently photographed holding hands in London, where Williams is currently filming the Venom sequel.
A source confirmed the engagement to People, and also revealed that Williams is reportedly pregnant with the couple's first child. The actress already has a 14-year-old daughter, Matilda, whose father is the late Heath Ledger. People's source even said that Matilda "played matchmaker," and encouraged her mom to date the Grease Live! director, which is beyond adorable.
People reported that "Williams was spotted buying baby clothes at Seraphine’s maternity boutique in Kensington," although there are no further details of the actress' alleged pregnancy.
In an interview following her 2018 wedding to Elverum, Williams told Vanity Fair, “I never gave up on love." Williams and Elverum separated at the start of 2019, but the actress has since moved on with Kail.
Williams told Vanity Fair, "I always say to Matilda, 'Your dad loved me before anybody thought I was talented, or pretty, or had nice clothes.'" The actress also said, "Don’t settle. Don’t settle for something that feels like a prison, or is hard, or hurts you. If it doesn’t feel like love, it’s not love."
