Michelle Pfeiffer

Michelle Pfeiffer has an important warning for her fellow pickleball players out there.

The 65-year-old actress recently sustained a painful injury while playing the paddlesport, and now she wants to make sure her followers don't make the same mistake she did.

As seen in a series of graphic photos shared to her Instagram page on Friday, Dec. 1, Pfeiffer revealed the black and blue bruise around one of her eyes, which she presumably got from the plastic pickleball hitting her in the face.

One of the pics shows the Dangerous Liaisons star holding a bag of ice to the injured eye, while she shows off the intense bruise in the other two shots.

"WARNING ⚠️" she captioned her post, while urging other pickleballers  to "stay out of the Kitchen!! 😫," to avoid getting a similar injury. (In pickleball, the "kitchen" is a term players commonly use to refer to the seven-foot non-volley zone on either side of the net.)

"Oh no!!! Feel better!" Rita Wilson commented under the post, while Naomi Watts added "Ouch!!"

Pfeiffer's sister, Dedee, who seemed to be there to witness the incident, showed some support in the comments, letting fans know that her sister "kept on playing," even after the accident happened.

But for actress Julianne Moore, seeing Pfeiffer's injury was enough to keep her from picking up her own paddle anytime soon. "That’s why I don’t play," she wrote in the comments.

"Oh dear!!" Selma Blair chimed in, while quipping, "Eye 👁️ am wishing you a speedy recovery. ❤️‍🩹."

Alec Baldwin also jumped in to tease her in the comments, writing, "Damn Can’t sell beauty products and play pickle, it seems," to which Pfeiffer replied, "i still smell good!❤️."
