Michelle Branch and The Black Keys’ Patrick Carney Marry in New Orleans Wedding

Michelle Branch and Patrick Carney and now married. The “Everywhere” singer and the Black Keys band member married this weekend in a New Orleans wedding ceremony.

Branch posted a screen grab of a news alert Saturday evening that announced the couple’s newlywed status. “Can confirm,” she added on Instagram.

The pair revealed their engagement in summer 2017, after the couple first met at a Grammys party back in 2015. Carney proposed to Branch with an atypical, art deco-inspired ring. For her wedding gift, the drummer ended up purchasing a mysterious brooch with a haunted story.

“While waiting for our receipt I noticed this stunning old brooch in the case,” Branch shared last month. “She started telling me that it’s Georgian (1750’s roughly) and the oldest item in the store,” Branch continued, “when suddenly Patrick jumps back exclaiming that the brooch, under glass, has just moved towards us about an inch and a half! Literally falling out of the original box!”

“So of course, Patrick decides we have to have it and purchases it as my wedding gift!” Branch added. “How spooky! Does anyone here have any stories of ‘energetic’ jewelry? Don’t worry, I’ve already cleared it with sage 🌙✨ Any psychics out there want to chime in??”

Carney and Branch welcomed their first child together, son Rhys James Carney, in August 2018. The bride is also a mom to a 13-year-old daughter named Owen Isabelle Landau, whom she shares with ex Teddy Landau.
