Michaels Just Released Its Halloween Collection, so See Ya, Summer

Michaels is my go-to store for all things art and crafts—oh, and holiday decorations. It just released its Halloween decor line, and trust me when I say that it has set the bar high for all the other decor collections.

There’s no overall theme for this collection, but that doesn’t matter because the products speak for themselves. Have you ever gone Halloween shopping and felt like you couldn’t find anything scary or spooky enough for you? Well, that’s not something you’re going to have to worry about: You’ll find everything from praying skeletons to a typewriter with a skeleton hand typing on it (the last thing you’ll be is bored when shopping this collection).

The collection also has a variety of family-friendly decorations for those who prefer their Halloween to be more fun than scary. One of my favorite items is this black cat inside a witch’s hat. The cat looks as if it’s patiently waiting for kids to come trick-or-treat so it can get rid of every last piece of candy—it’s the cutest thing ever, and I want it on my living room mantel. There are also jack-o’-lantern buckets for your tiny tots to store all their candy (that you’re probably going to help them eat anyway).

But please, don’t be that person who waits until the week before Halloween to go shopping for decor. I know that I am going to buy all my Halloween decor in advance, and I suggest you do the same. Now is the perfect time to get your shopping done, before the store lines stretch a mile long, the aisles become barren, and everything is sold out online.
